I saw this for the first time the other day, and yes, it was really scary! One can see why it spawned so many sequels- I think there’s eight of them. So I watched the second one in the series- predictably, not as scary as the first one. That’s what happens with a good film like this- people want more, so they make more- but they never quite deliver the same shiver as the first one.
