Anti-Globalization Obama
So Obama is against globalization. I realized this while watching a video clip apology that he recently made, where he says he’s not sorry for being against globalization. This may win him the union vote, but this is a wrong stance. The unions, and some other people, are against free-trade agreements. But you can’t roll back the clock. Being against globalization is like being against the internet. You can’t make it go away. You’re just gonna have to live with it and adapt. Too many wars have already been fought over protectionist anti-trade tariff barriers. Tariff barriers make everything more expensive for everybody. Voting for tariff barriers is voting for a tax on yourself. Rather than coming out against globalization, I’d rather see Obama say how he’s gonna help us adapt to the reality of living on the planet Earth- the globe. At least Clinton never caved to the unions and never tried to roll back free trade.
